At Valley Nursery Sod Inc., we have a history in the sod, grass seed, fertilizer and lime business. We’ve served Northern Ontario for many years as a locally owned and operated business.

Achievements
In 2009, Valley Nursery Sod Inc. celebrated a milestone—50 years in business. Half a century ago, in 1959, our business began with Dieudonne (Pitt) and Alice Seguin, who were the first to grow and sell sod in Northern Ontario. In 1970, Armand and Lucille Charbonneau (Pitt’s daughter and son-in-law) purchased the business and grew it to where it stands today—an achieved leader in Northern Ontario’s turf grass industry.

In 2007, the Ontario Soccer Association coaches commented that Cambrian College’s soccer field was one of the best they’ve ever played on. Since then, most sports fields in Northern Ontario use our Elite Series Kentucky Bluegrass. Most golf courses also renovate with our Elite Series Kentucky Bluegrass.
