What is a Haskap?
The berry received its name from the Ainu people of northern Japan. Haskap is an ancient name meaning “berry of long life and good vision." The berry has been found in the wild in every province in Canada except for BC. Haskap berries are found throughout the northern climates of Asia, Europe, and North America. They are mainly found in low lying wet areas or mountains, therefore they thrive in our cool Canadian climate
About the Haskap
The Haskap berry is vastly becoming recognized as one of the greatest fruits for health benefits. The berry contains nearly 3x the amount of nutrients and antioxidants when compared to a blueberry. We grow a large variety of Haskaps in our orchard. Some of the main varieties of berries we harvest are Tundras, IndigoYums, HoneyBees, IndigoGems and Auroras. We have over 40,000 Haskap trees planted in our orchard and plan future expansion.
Pick-your-own and pre-picked is available at our location starting late June – early July.
